The world around financial advice is changing.
The landscape for saving and investing is evolving, creating new ways for people to build wealth. Technology is changing how people access information and make decisions. And longer lives are changing what people are ultimately planning, and building their wealth, for.
Against that backdrop, some of the biggest questions facing advice may not simply be about what is changing, but what continues to matter.
What gives people the confidence to act? What helps them make good financial decisions and stay with them? And as technology, markets and client expectations continue to evolve, what will clients value most from financial advice?
WHAT MATTERS will bring together different perspectives from across financial services, investment, behavioural science and longevity to explore these questions and what they could mean for clients, advisers and the future of advice.
On the day, we’ll explore:
- Creating a culture of investing: As Ireland looks to encourage greater participation in investing, what will it take to turn more savers into confident, long-term investors – and what role can advice play?
- The investor behind the investment: With more information, more choice and increasingly powerful technology at our fingertips, how is the way people make financial decisions changing – and what does that mean for the role of the adviser?
- Planning for longer lives: As people live longer and life becomes less linear, are we planning for the lives people are actually going to live? And what could that mean for how we think about wealth, retirement and financial security over a lifetime?
We hope you can join us for an afternoon of conversation, different perspectives and some of the questions shaping the future of financial advice.
